Arc’teryx Acrux FL and Bora ShoesThu, April 02, 2015
Among hikers and climbers, the name Arc’teryx is synonymous with quality. Known for their durable laminated textiles, the North Vancouver-based company is a leading innovator in comfort and climate management for outdoor enthusiasts. Now the brand debuts its groundbreaking ventures in the realm of performance footwear.
This spring, Arc’teryx introduced their first two footwear lines, the low-cut Arcux FL alpine approach shoe and mid-cut Bora technical hiking shoe. The upper combines four hydrophobic layers using Arc’teryx’s seamless laminated technologies, and the Vibram outsole provides a secure grip on rough terrain.
One awesome aspect of the Arc’teryx shoes is the separately constructed Adaptive Fit stretch mesh bootie made with Ariaprene. In lieu of a traditional tongue, the bootie provides a snug, custom fit around the entire foot, while the reduction of glue points and seams eliminates any uncomfortable pressure points. Space between the bootie and the interior of the shoe increases air circulation and moisture wicking for maximum climate control. The bootie can also be worn independently as camp slippers while inside tents and around campsites.
The new Arc’teryx Arcux FL and Bora shoes are now available at major retailers. For more information, visit the Arc’teryx website.
